Led by Peggy Grueninger, Diversity Compass envisions an inclusive world where underrepresented groups are accepted, respected, and can be their authentic selves at work.

Our mission is to assist individuals in career transitions and help organizations enhance their Diversity & Inclusion efforts. We enable companies to recognize and utilize the value of diverse talent, fostering thriving communities at work and beyond.

Our Services

We offer a comprehensive range of services designed to support both individuals and organizations aiming to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.

For individuals from underrepresented communities, we focus on guiding them through high-uncertainty environments, dealing with challenges like exclusionary norms, lack of access to local networks and advocacy, or transitioning smoothly from academia to the private sector. For companies and foundations, we provide guidance on transforming organizational culture, equipping leaders to promote an inclusive workplace, and developing effective strategies for philanthropic initiatives with impactful accredited best-in-class nonprofits in Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Guide minority executives and diverse talents to leverage their unique experiences, navigate workplace challenges, build alliances, and foster a sense of belonging crucial for development.

  • Assist professionals transitioning from public service or academia to private sector roles by improving organizational skills, reframing issues, and managing transitions with confidence.

  • Work with first-generation academics who may lack access to resources, sponsors, advocacy, and traditional networks.

  • Speak at events, focusing on balancing assimilation into the corporate culture while maintaining employees’ authenticity, emphasizing the importance of inclusion practices, social identity, and how the whole workforce should feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work every day.

  • Offer customized coaching for Black and Brown employees and underrepresented groups to address career barriers such as the lack of allyship, sponsorship, and mentoring, and foster fair and responsible talent attraction, hiring, development, and retention.

  • Develop a targeted approach to educate key stakeholders, including boards, C-suite executives, and senior leaders, on the importance of a D&I strategy and the barriers affecting underrepresented communities in the workplace.

  • Foster sustainable, long-term partnerships by bridging the private sector and philanthropists with accredited nonprofit organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa to maximize impact through strategic philanthropy and community engagement.
